The National Day Super Sale initiative has been aimed at boosting the retail sector of the emirate. By running promotions that offer retailers options to boost sales during this time of the year, will further improve Dubai’s position as the year-round shopping hub, pointed out Saeed Mohammad Mesam Al Falasi, the Executive Director of retail and strategic alliances.

No other destination in the region offers such a superb collection of fashion and lifestyle brands, all under a single roof. Dubai has already set the highest standard in terms of brand mix and quality in the retail sector in the region.

The unique National Day initiative offers several opportunities to buy sought-after items at incredible prices, thereby giving shoppers reasons to celebrate National Day. While shoppers are all set to visit their favourite stores this weekend for the super sale, retailers have chosen to roll out their national day sale early in the week, as this gives shoppers plenty of opportunity to choose their purchases prior to the national day weekend rush.

The Marketing Head for Centrepoint, Shyam Sunder, revealed that Centrepoint rolled out its annual National Day shopping bonanza in all its UAE stores from 24th November to 3rd December. Here, shoppers can look forward to getting a 25 percent discount at all Centrepoint stores from 24th to 30th November, and in Dubai alone, reductions would be 60 to 90 percent off on a minimum of 30 percent stock keeping from 1st to 3rd December, he said.

Splash will run a buy two get one free offer all through the promotion period across all stores. The response from shoppers has been quite encouraging so far, but, the shopping will pick up once salaries are paid ahead of the coming weekend, Sunder said.

Apart from these, the City Centre Deira, City Centre Shindagha, City Centre Me’aisem, malls of the Majid Al Futtaim Properties, will all run exciting promotions to celebrate the National Day. The City Centre Deira allows shoppers to shop and win instant prizes. A customized vending machine allows shoppers to withdraw gift cards and vouchers, and the visitors can also take a National Day themed selfie, which would be printed and posted on social media. From 1st to 4th December, shoppers spending minimum of Dh.200 at City Centre Me’aisem and Dh.150 at City Centre Shindaga will have the opportunity to win two iPhone7s at raffle draws every day.
