Eid Al Adha holidays announced for Dubai Public & Private sectors

The Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has announced the dates for Eid Al Adha holidays for public sector.

Sheikh Mohammed tweeted on his official Twitter account, that public sector will enjoy Eid holidays from Sunday, the 11th September, and work will resume for government departments on 18th September. 

The announcement was made following a cabinet meeting.

Residents of UAE working in public sector will get a nine-day break from 9th September, Friday, until 17th September, Saturday.

Meanwhile, the UAE’s Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has also announced holidays for private sector, declaring Sunday, the 11th September as public holiday for celebration of Arafat Day. Private sector employees will also get paid holiday on 12th and 13th September for Eid Al Adha, thus making a total of five-day break, when combined with a two-day weekend.
