Lufthansa begins new Dubai - Munich route

The Dubai International Airport has begun a new connection between Munich and Dubai. 

The Lufthansa flight LH638 arrived at Dubai International Airport on 6.40am on 2nd October, commencing the new connection between Munich and Dubai.
The return flight LH639 departs Dubai thrice a week at 8.30am, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, arriving in Munich at 12.50pm on the same day (local time).

Operated by an Airbus A350-900, one of the world’s most modern and environment-friendly aircraft, it lays emphasis on the airline’s commitment to sustainability.

The Senior Director Sales MENAT Lufthansa Group Airlines, Serkan Guerguen, said “The UAE has always been important for the Lufthansa Group and we are proud to have successfully launched this new route just in time for the start of the Expo. With the introduction of this new connection, we have doubled our capacity on routes to the UAE compared to pre-crisis levels.”

This new Dubai-Munich route by Lufthansa is in addition to the existing daily flights to Frankfurt, and the daily SWISS flights from Dubai to Zurich during winter. Munich is a major Lufthansa hub, and offers plenty of options for onward journeys.

According to Jamal Al Hai, the Deputy CEO of Dubai Airports, Germany being the top ten markets in the country for Dubai International with 2.6 million in passenger traffic in 2019, the launch of the new service will further enable growth by boosting connectivity and adding timely capacity between two destinations.

Lufthansa is also offering special introductory fares for tickets from Dubai to Europe. Customers can book special round trip ticket fares until 20th October for all travel between 6th October 2021 and March 25th 2022. The promotional prices is as low as Dh.1715 in Economy, Dh.2975 in Premium Economy and Dh.7375 in Business Class. These can be book through all travel agencies, including at Lufthansa.com or SWISS.com.
