Dubai schools will have a new four-and-a-half-day workweek from January 2022 as announced by the UAE government earlier today.
“The private education sector in Dubai will remain open inline with the recent UAE Government decision on the working week. We’ll be working closely with our community to ensure a smooth transition,” KHDA (Knowledge and Human Development Authority), Dubai’s education regulator tweeted.

Under this new plan, students are expected to attend schools from Monday to Friday, with Friday being half-a-day class. All public and private schools will implement the same timetable. School timings are yet to be confirmed by the authorities.
The new revised workweek gets effective from 1st January 2022. According to the announcement, the government staff will get two-and-a-half days off every week.
Employees will be working on Fridays until 12pm, and will get the rest of the day off, apart from Saturday and Sunday.
The work week will begin on Monday and end on Friday noon.
