Dubai’s leading family entertainment and cultural destinations, Global Village, plans to re-open doors in October 2020 and will run until April 2021.
The park had shut doors on 15th March 2020, prior to its usual closing date to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to enforce movement restrictions.
This year, the Global Village welcomes its 25th edition with plenty of events lined up to mark its silver anniversary celebrations.
Global Village is a popular, unique and integrated open-air destination for shopping, dining and entertainment experiences from across the world.
For its silver anniversary celebrations, Global Village offers visitors over 40,000 entertainment events, activities, shows, taking visitors on a lively multicultural adventure.
The children’s rides, thrill rides and light and sound show make it a great place for families and visitors entering Dubai. The weekly fireworks are a welcome addition too, all set to return.
Launched in 1997, the Global Village was first based on the Creek Side. Later, it moved to Oud Metha and then to Dubai Festival City. Finally, its permanent home was on Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road, Exit 37.
As always, the retailers will exhibit a selection of culturally-rooted products ranging from authentic products from their home towns, handicrafts, and much more. It is a great place to buy souvenirs.
