UAE expats can now find jobs easily in the new online platform

09 April 2020

Finding jobs and recruiting new employees are now easier in the UAE, despite the coronavirus impact on the job market.

The UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) has recently launched a fresh version of the electronic platform called ‘Virtual Labour Market’ and has requested employers and job seekers to register on this portal.

Now, the Ministry has gone one step ahead and made it easier for employers to recruit people who are currently available in the UAE, as the employers cannot bring in people from outside the country now due to travel restrictions imposed as part of precautionary measures to curb the spread of coronavirus.

The Ministry has made it easier for companies to get internal work permits through online portal.

The job seekers in the UAE can register with the Virtual Labour Market and apply for the available jobs listed by registered organizations depending on their experience and qualifications.

The provision of this resolution is only applicable to expatriate employees and is applicable during this period of applying the said precautionary procedures.

The platform enables job seekers to register their CVs and companies to announce vacancies. For details, visit ‘careers.mohre.gov.ae’.
