Dubai Outlet Mall
The mall is a shopping center and is located in a portion of the Dubai Outlet City (DOC) located in Dubailand. Located on the Dubai-Al Ain Road, the mall kicked off operations in mid to late 2007. It is near Route 66 by the Al Ruwayya interchange. Contained within the walls of the mall are an Automatic Restaurant (actually several restaurants), Starbucks, Burger King, Stone Fire Pizza, McDonalds, KFC, Skyler’s, Cosi, Hatam and an ice rink.
Well known brands and shops
This shoppers’ dream world is filled with numerous brand names and exclusive shops, including (but not limited to) well known brand names such as Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Reebok, Nike, Guess, Allied Enterprises, Rodeo Drive, Adidas, Bally, Esprit, Nina Ricci and Puma.
Supersize it expansion plan
There was a plan for expansion to make the Dubai Outlet Mall twice its original size. In 2009, there were 800 shops (three times what it started with) even though expansion had yet to be carried out. It also boasts a bigger mall space than any other mall or shopping center in the area. Completion of the double sizing effort was to be completed in 2011. Weekly visitors to the mall exceed 15,000 and on the weekends, over 25,000 pour in fervently.
Hours of operation and routes
The mall is open from 10:00AM to 10:00PM Sunday through Wednesday, and 10:00AM to midnight Thursday through Saturday. Transportation is a free shuttle ride away from certain hotels such as Jumeira, Bur Dubai, Deira, Dubai Marina section as well as Sheikh Zayed Road. Calling the mall can be done by dialing +971 4 4234666 or visit their website at www.dubaioutletmall.com.
Fun for the whole family
The Dubai Outlet Mall was the first UAE establishment to house a Chuck E Cheese. There, the kids can skate the ice rink, enjoy good food, bowl and engage in other fun experiences. The mall's 'The Dome' area is filled with a multi colored soft play area. Slides, swings and ball pools will keep the kids busy while Mom and Dad kick back with a coffee or snack. There is great news too; every Monday at the mall is Half Price Mondays at no less than 101 of their stores. So shop till you drop!
