Ramadan 2023 in Dubai: List of activities lined up for visitors

The Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) has listed out some of the best ways to observe the fasting month of Ramadan with family and friends. Listed here are some of the activities that residents and visitors can enjoy with family and friends during Ramadan 2023.

Expo City Dubai

This year, Dubai has lined up unique and special celebrations during the Holy month, with their 50-day long exhibition ‘Hai Ramadan’. The event takes visitors on an epic journey of the Islamic world, beginning with a trip through traditional Emirati neighborhoods (Levant region to North Africa to South Asia and the modern Arabian Gulf).

Etihad Museum

The Etihad Museum offers a unique cultural experience for visitors during Ramadan and features interactive exhibits and multimedia displays. 

The Museum also offers special events and activities that celebrate Emirati culture and traditions. 

Activities for families

Dubai offers a wide variety of outdoor activities that are ideal for families including evening desert safaris, camel rides, twilight dhow cruises etc. With several options to choose from, families can create unforgettable memories during Ramadan when exploring the city’s stunning natural beauty.

Activities at DIFC 

The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) M2L Market is a unique destination for visitors seeking an authentic Ramadan experience. Located in the heart of the financial district, the market offers a range of traditional Arabic food, sweets, and beverages that are ideal for Iftar and Suhoor.

In addition to the food, visitors can visit the stalls selling local handicrafts, souvenirs, and gifts. The market also features traditional Ramadan activities such as henna art and falconry shows. 

Global Village

Global Village, the popular destination for residents and tourists alike during Ramadan, is a multicultural festival park that brings together the best of world’s cultures, offering visitors an immersive experience of the holy month, with a range of events and activities.
