Quratulain Balouch at Bollywood Parks

Pakistan’s Well-known singer-composer Quratulain Balouch is set to dazzle visitors with her performance at Bollywood Parks. She is taking over the stage at the opulent Rajmahal Theatre on 19 July.

The young singer and composer became an overnight sensation thanks to the slow-burning ballad ‘Woh Humsafar Tha’, the title track for award-winning soap opera Humsafar.

Balouch may have had no formal musical training growing up but her low, earthy voice has an innate power that moves audiences. Her career began with a cover of the late folk legend Reshma’s ‘Ankhian Nu Ren De’ but grew to steady acclaim after appearing in Coke Studio’s ‘Panchi’ with rock band Jal. However, it was her ‘Woh Humsafar Tha’ track for the 2011 drama ‘Humsafar’ that earned her fame.

Balouch has even stepped into Bollywood’s musical spheres with the haunting track ‘Kaari Kaari’ for Pink, starring Amitabh Bachan. Balouch has won various awards including Pakistan’s Youngest Achievement Award UK and Europe in 2011, Singer of the Year at Pakistan Media Awards and several others.
