Hopfest is returning to The Irish Village

It begins with the return of Hopfest, the long-running hops festival at the city’s legendary Irish pub The Irish Village. This year will mark the venue’s 15th birthday and will run on Thursday September 12 from 6pm and all day, Friday September 13 from 12pm.

The event, traditionally known for its exciting atmosphere, lively music and tonnes of hops, is going to be offering 80 different varieties of the drink across the weekend, but is promising something for everyone, including mixed drinks pop-up bars and a specialist juniper bar.

Inside, you’ll be able to sample some of the biggest and most well-known hops brands alike, as well as lesser-known brands from across the globe. This year’s festival once again features more than 80 different brands – making it the perfect spot to discover a new favourite. The festival will also be home to a dedicated gin bar, serving up an array of creative mixed drinks.

While the event is free entry, there’ll be some top drinks deals, including vouchers for four drinks and a food item for Dhs175, or ten drinks plus a food item for Dhs350, if you’re planning on heading down for a full day of Hopfest fun.

While mid-September can still be quite balmy, the event will take place under the huge tent canopy on the lawn at The Irish Village, with a top program of live bands and DJs playing all the best party hits.
Doors open at 6pm on Thursday, and noon on Friday.

Be sure to head down early – this is bound to be one of the biggest weekends of summer, yet again.
