Running from September 21 to October 6, The German folk festival Oktoberfest is held in Munich, the capital of Bavaria, if you can’t get time off work to fly to Germany, Ring in Oktoberfest with authentic Bavarian-themed celebrations at Grand Plaza Movenpick Media City’s festive tent.
Oktoberfest M’City hosts a series of exclusive deals and entertainment throughout the 18 days from Wednesday 23 October to Saturday 9 November 2019. The Big Bavarian Brunch every Friday features an array of Bavarian specialties, including bratwurst, roasted knuckle, freshly baked pretzels, German apple strudel and much more.
On Saturdays, it’s a more family-friendly afternoon with plenty of fun for the little ones, including a dedicated kids’ zone with cooking classes, hair-braiding, and other fun activities. In Munich Muscles Mondays, lads can test their brawn in physical competitions against their mates, before enjoying special deals on 1-litre steins. Then there’s Damen Wiesn, a limited-time Tuesday ladies’ night from 5pm to 8pm where ladies get discounted drinks and prizes for the best dressed. In addition, there’ll be daily HB happy hours, and an amazing Oktoberfest souk where guests can pick up their very own steins to take home.
It wouldn’t be a proper Bavarian bash without a genuine Oktoberfest band, and thankfully Oktoberfest M’City delivers. The five-piece band Münchner Gaudiblosn flying in direct from Munich will perform every day throughout the festival.
