Dubai International Real Estate (DIRE) has completed a major construction milestone at its Dh.4billion ($1.08 billion) ‘Jewel of the Creek’ project with five towers in the first phase, including its hospitality arm Roda hotels almost ready, a report said.
Located amidst Al Maktoum and Floating Bridge along the Deira side of the Dubai Creek, the project includes nine towers, all of them targeting the hospitality sector, although none of these are available on a freehold basis.
While Habtoor Leighton Group is the main contractor of the project, the design is done in partnership with Kling Consult and Kieferle & Partner, the report said.
Apart from the 438 room iconic five-star hotel, Roda, the others that topped out include four towers with serviced apartments and studios, to be delivered in April 2017, the report said.
The community also includes a 60-berth marina, 20 retail, food and beverage outlets, the report pointed out.
Work is now in progress on Phase Two, featuring a 389 room non-alcoholic hotel, 445-room four-star fashion hotel, 405 room three-star plug and play hotel, and the Dubai Dome, a multipurpose hall, with capacity to accommodate 3000 people.
This phase will be ready in August 2018, the report said.
