Dubai Airport introduces separate passport control counters for children

Young travellers now have their own passport control lanes and counters at Dubai International Airport (DXB) it has been announced.

The best part is that in this area kids get the opportunity to stamp their own passports. 

Dubai’s General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in its statement said that it has added new passport control platforms that is made for children aged 4 to 12.

The fresh counters featuring a bright, distinctive space-themed design are located at the Arrivals Hall of Terminal 3 at DXB, the authority added.

The best part is that in this area, the children get the opportunity to stamp their own passports.

According to the authority, the young travellers will be received by the two uniform-wearing mascots ‘Salem and Salama’ on special occasions, the GDRFA authority said.

Both Salem and Salama have been designed to build friendships and bring in happiness for young visitors from the time they step into the city, the GDRFA explained.
