Leading property developer, Nakheel, has confirmed handover of its Marina Residences at Palm Jumeirah by the end of the month, despite the current oversupply in residential market.
Being a waterfront development at the tip of the Trunk, the Marina Residences offers six residential towers with triple bedroom apartments and five-bedroom penthouses in classic and contemporary styles, apart from the waterfront townhouses located amidst the towers.
The five bedroom penthouses feature Italian marble floors, rooftop terraces, internal elevators, fetching about Dh.17mn, triple bedroom apartments worth Dh.8mn and the double bedroom townhouses are worth about Dh.5mn.
Majority to these apartments offer sea views, while the remaining face the communal gardens, children’s play pools, health clubs and 25-meter swimming pools.
Few of the apartments resemble villas, and are ideal for families, as Marina Residences is a sub-community of the Palm Jumeirah community. says Marwan Al Qamsi, Managing Director of Nakheel Developments. However, he pointed out that Marina Residences will not feature retail outlets, and at present the proposed mall Village Centre is a vacant site, and Nakheel is considering options for the area. The adjacent Oceana Hotel and Spa development establishes a linking walkway, offering the residents access to restaurants and cafes. With no beachfront, the two main highlights of Marina Residences are its views of the fronds and Atlantis and its close proximity to Anchor Marina, with residents having preferential access to berths.
Nakheel has revealed that all the units of the development have been booked. During the time of handover, Nakheel will offer a ‘one-stop-shop’ for residents where they can arrange their Dewa, du and Palm District Cooling accounts. Similar services could be expected for Nakheel’s forthcoming developments too. Posted on 16/11/2009
