Burj Khalifa announces service charges for the year

The service charges for the current year in Burj Khalifa the tallest tower in the world, has been established at Dh.52.77 per square feet for residential units, and Dh.55.70 per square feet for office units, it has been announced.

Armani Residences has the highest service charges at Dh.78.63per square feet, while corporate suites will be charges at Dh.71.99 per square foot, as per the Emaar Call Centre.


The service charges for the tower have been split into three components – community service fee, chiller charge and hot and cold water charge.


One of the investors, who spoke to the media, said that Emaar has asked for the first installment payment before handover of the unit, while the rest are to be paid in two post-date cheques.


The service charges have to be paid in three installments. The first immediately, followed by the second on 1st July and last on 1st October, Emaar said.


As for residential units at Burj Khalifa, the community service fee has been set at Dh.42.48 per sq. ft., chiller charge at Dh.9.29 per sq. ft. and hot and cold water charges at Dh.1 per sq. ft.


Corporate Suites have to pay a community service fee of Dh.62.85per sq. ft., chiller charge of Dh.8.14 per sq. ft., and hot and cold water charges of Dh.1 per sq. ft.


The community service fee for Armani residences is Dh.39.35per sq.ft., chiller charge at Dh.9.28 per sq. ft., and water charges at Dh.1 per sq. ft. But, an additional charge of Dh.29 per sqft has to be shelled out as “hospitality charges”, making a total of Dh.78.63 per sq. ft.
