GITEX Technology Week 2012

The Gitex exhibition is one of the largest trade events ever in Dubai's calendar. The event marks the gateway for global brands to access the Middle East market, which is the fastest emerging and investment ready ICT markets. Gitex exhibition is also one of the longest running annual conferences in Dubai, with the year 2012 being its 32nd edition.

The Gitex Technology Week will include several dedicated sectors, including business solutions, cloud confex, GITEX card technology, Consumer Technology, GULFCOMMS, global conferences, government@GITEX and mobiles, apps and content world. The event will offer multiple opportunities for event attendees to interact with high profile IT leaders in seminars, lectures and workshops.

This year's edition of GITEX Technology Week will be held 14th to 18th October, at the Dubai World Trade Centre, and is expected to see participation of more than 80 percent of leading brands in information and communication technology, involving participation of C-level executives.

Further, for the first time this year, GITEX will introduce a dedicated zone for SME (Small and Medium Enterprises) sector, which is a major contributor to economy across the world. The International Zone, and Africa in Focus are other new segments included this year in Gitex Technology Week, which runs under the theme Where Technology Means Business.

The Gitex Technology Week helps connect more than 138,000 industry professionals from over 144 nations, which makes it one of the top three ICT exhibitions in the world.

Last year, the event saw a gathering of more than 3500 domestic and international IT vendors, displaying their products to 136,000 ICT professionals. GITEX Technology Week is considered the most lucrative week of the year for the technology industry in the region.
