Burj Khalifa Tower
Major attractions in and around Burj Khalifa
Burj Khalifa Park
Designed by leading architects SWA Group, Burj Khalifa, the design of the park draws inspiration by the core design concepts of Burj Khalifa, based on Hymenocallis, the desert flower.
The park has six water features, palm-lined walkways, gardens and flowering trees. The Burj Khalifa water room is located at the centre of the park and the base, which includes a series of pools and water jet fountains. All railing, benches and signs depict images of Burj Khalifa and Hymenocallis flower.
The plants and shrubbery at the Park will be watered by the condensation collection system that the buildings use from the cooling system. Hot and humid air outside, when combined with the tower’s cooling requirements, result in considerable amount of condensation of moisture from the air. The water is stored at the basement car park, and provides nearly 15mn gallons of supplemental water annually, equivalent to 20 Olympic-sized swimming pools. The park area also includes two tennis courts, a wading pool and children play ground.
