Natural Adventure Park to draw 23,000 visitors by year-end

The Dubai Municipality has opened a Natural Adventure Park in Mushrif Park, with Eng. Hussain Nasser Lootah, the Director General of Dubai Municipality having unveiled the park.

Spanning 35,000sqm, the facility is likely to draw about 23,000 visitors during its first year, about 35,000 visitors in the second year and 69,000 visitors by the end of fourth year. 

Among the 35,000 square metres area, 30,000 sqm is dedicated to the open Natural Adventure Park, while 5000 sqm is allocated for construction of a training centre.  Among the services provided in the park are learning and training in challenge games and climbing for employees of companies and students of all ages.

The Natural Adventure Park has five levels of attractions and leisure activities that suit various age groups from six years. More than 85 activities are spread across various levels and activities include sliding through the rope, natural forest, climbing walls and vehicle on rope challenges. 

There is also a team development park, which specializes in training companies and groups through separate challenge games with more than 15 activities dedicated to development of competencies and improve work and leadership performance as the park offers a range of programmes and services suitable for companies, schools and public groups.

Speaking about the park, Eng. Mohammad Abdul Rahman Al Awadhi, Director of Public Parks and Horticulure Department said that the park has 71 pillars ranging from 6 to 12 metres in height, with most of them made of steel weighing from 1000 to 2500 kg. More than 6km of wire and cables have been used, apart from iron and Spanish wood for installation of 100 activities and challenge games.

Children from age six with minimum height of 1.15m are allowed to participate in the game ‘Rangers’ and children with 1.25m height or more can participate in the game ‘Explorador’ and 1.4m can participate in ‘Aventura’ and ‘Thriller’ and 1.60m can take part in game ‘Extreme’.

The park will remain open daily from 9.30am to 5.30pm. Website booking is open for participation in the training sessions every half an hour.
