Dubai residents who wish to host their family or friends in the country, can now avail three-month visit visa, by paying a refundable deposit of Dh.1000 for the visa.
As part of the Advanced Visa System, major reforms were made to entry visas in the UAE during October 2022, which was one of the largest residency and entry permit reforms in the UAE till date.
However, travel agencies in the emirate say that they are unable to apply for these visas in their system, because as of now, only individuals applying on the system can obtain these visas.
The individuals are required to apply for it online at the GDRFA website, or on the app, or through Amer Typing Centre.
On the GDRFA website, the users can also apply for entry permits for business or job opportunities, apart from entry permits for those awaiting Green Visas, or a patient escort permit, among others.

The UAE Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) announced implementation of new series of updates to improve services provided to nationals, residents and visitors through its smart services system.
As of 1st February 2023, the ICA has adopted a list of 15 services, which was updated in its Smart Services System.
