With football fanatics ready to cheer up for FIFA World Cup 2022, to be held in Qatar from 21st November to 18th December, several Middle Eastern airlines have begun advanced shuttle flight bookings for the country, with as low as Dh.950.
A flight from Dubai International to Hamad Airport in Doha is said to cost Dh.1800 on 20th November.
The rates from Abu Dhabi are even lower, as some flights cost less than Dh.1400.
Further, a connecting flight between Riyadh and Doha or Jeddah to Doha will cost Dh.1340.
Kuwait is also offering cheap rates with most airlines charging close to Dh.1000. A flight from Muscat to Doha may cost about Dh.1300.
The Dubai-based airline Flydubai is also offering nearly 30 daily return flights between Dubai and Doha.
However, the low rates are applicable only for a short period of time, and limited number of seats. Once these seats are sold out, prices may surge.
Qatar Airways, Qatar’s flagship carrier, may get biggest boost due to the event. The CEO of Qatar Airways, Akbar Al-Baker said that the number of people expressing interest in attending the event, indicates that the event will be a successful one.
