New rules applicable for Dubai restaurant dine-in, social events, and gyms

The Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management in Dubai has announced new rules for dining in restaurants, for social gatherings and for gymnasiums.

A decision has been made to increase the distance between tables at cafes / restaurants from 2 metres at present to 3 metres.

The number of people allowed to sit in one table is now 7, while earlier 10 people were allowed in one table. As for cafes, the number of maximum people in a table should be limited to 4.

Rules for social events

New mandate has been issued for gatherings too, with maximum number of people permitted to gather for social events including private parties and weddings being 10, and those attending should be first-degree relatives. The mandate is applicable for gatherings at hotel or home.

Rules for gymnasiums

To prevent Covid-19, the Dubai Economy, together with the Dubai Sport Council has directed the Fitness Centres, and gymnasiums to further increase physical distancing between sport equipment and trainees from the present 2 metres to at least 3 metres.

These rules will get effective from 27th January 2021.
