Applications processed for five-year multiple-entry tourist visa to the UAE

Immigration authorities in the UAE opens application process for five-year multiple-entry tourist visas to enter the UAE. According to the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA), the visa would be issued to all nationalities.

This five-year visa helps tourists enter the UAE multiple times on self-sponsorship, and they can remain in the country for upto 90 days on every visit, and can extend their stay for another 90 days if necessary. But they can pay Dh.650 to apply for visa through ICA.

Tourist agencies in the UAE have confirmed the availability of multiple-entry tourist visa.

To apply for the visa:

Interested applicants can apply directly on the ICA website. Documents such as the bank statements of the applicant can be directly uploaded on the website. However, it is the discretion of the immigration authority to award the visa to the applicant or not.

Interested visitors who wish to apply for the visa from immigration departments in Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Abu Dhabi, Umm Al Quwain, Al Dhafra and Al Ain can apply for the visa on the ICA website

Furthermore, agents have said over the past several weeks the demand for tourist visas to the UAE has quadrupled, particularly from those keen on attending the Expo 2020.

The new ‘remote work visa’ enables employees from across the world to live and work in the UAE for a period of one year, and the UAE Cabinet approved a multiple-entry tourist visa for all nationalities in March this year.

The process of application is as follows:

1.    Upload application information which includes name, address in the UAE and outside the UAE and service beneficiary details.
2.    Attach all necessary details including coloured photo, passport copy, 6 months bank statement, and medical insurance.
3.    A balance of at least US$4000 or its equivalent in foreign currencies in past six months is necessary.

5.    Make payment
6.    The visa will be sent by email.

The service is currently open to all individuals and nationalities. Individuals will receive multiple-entry visa for five years, provided, they stay in the country for a period not exceeding 90 days in a year.

The calculation of the first, second, till the fifth term begins from the date of first entry into the UAE using this visa. If the visitor intends to extend the annual period of stay in the country to more than 90 days in a year (not exceeding 180 days), a request for the same can be submitted to the ICA.
