As the new disinfection timings gets effective from 20th May, until further notice, the Dubai RTA has issued an update on the new public transport timings.
The timings are based on the revised national disinfection programme timings from 8pm to 6am every day until further notice. The RTA has requested the commuters to head to the station half an hour before the trip to ensure social distancing is maintained when using the transport and to wear a face mask always.
Metro:
The metro services will be available from 7am to 9pm.
The last train on the Red Line from Al Rashidiya Station in Rashidiya to UAE Exchange Station in Jebel Ali Free Zone will begin at 7.54pm.
The last journey to Al Rashidiya Station from UAE Exchange will start at 7.53pm.
Last train on Green Line will start from Creek Station (Al Jadaf area) to Etisalat Station (Al Qusais) at 8.21pm.
The last journey to the Creek Station from Etisalat Metro Station will be at 8.20pm.
On the whole, RTA will operate 54 trains along the Red Line, 17 on the Green Line during peak hours, covering 46 stations.
Bus
The Dubai bus will be fully functional from 6am to 8pm, and the buses will ply on all routes during these hours. The bus fares will be the regular fares from 6am to 8pm.
There will be limited bus services only to hospitals from 8pm to 6am.
Intercity Bus
The intercity bus service is unavailable until further notice.
Taxi
Taxi services will be available from 6am to 8pm with usual fare for any trip but, with the condition of wearing masks and passenger seated in the back seat.
However, for essential trips, taxis may be used from 8pm to 6am.
Marine Transport
Marine transport across Dubai will operate from 8.30am to 7pm. But, the resumption of marine transport services does not include marine services in Dubai Water Canal, the Ferry Service connecting Al Ghubaiba Station and Sharjah Aquarium Station, and the recreational marine services.
Tram
The tram services will remain operational from 7am to 9pm.
Shared Transport
The Shared transportation services will remain operational from 6am to 8pm. But strict sterilization and precautionary measures will be followed.
The new disinfection timings will be effective from 20th May until further notice.
