The 23rd season of Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) is already underway in Dubai, opening up mega deals, huge offers and fun-filled activities and giveaways for families.
Here are some of the best family events, super sales and other highlights from Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), the organizer of the event.
Amazing display of fireworks
Enjoy an amazing display of fireworks every night at The Pointe from 16th to 18th July from 8.30pm. The weekend firework display can also be enjoyed from an RTA Water Taxi or Dubai Ferry, if you take a one-hour trip around the Palm Jumeirah. Tickets are priced at Dh.400 for private water taxi, while Dubai ferry tickets are priced at Dh.50 for Silver Class, Dh.75 for Gold Class. There are family packages too at Dh.210 for Gold Class, Dh.140 for Silver Class. Call 800 9090 for booking.
Visitors get to enjoy a special DSS menu too, with a savings of 30 percent to 50 percent on “Buy 1 Get 1 Free” offer on select dishes in the participating restaurants and cafes.
Sales and Raffle Draw
Both residents and visitors stand a chance to win the 2020 model Cadillac CT5 on participating in the Cadillac Promotion Draw. To enter the raffle, shoppers need to spend Dh.100 at any store, mall or outlet that is a participant in this year’s DSS.
Car enthusiasts have the opportunity to win Dh.95000 luxury sedan car at Souk Madinat Jumeirah and JBR until 26th August and the super DSS Raffle Draw to be held on 26th August.
The Ibn Battuta Mall is hosting a mega Spend and Win promotion providing an opportunity to take home a brand new GAC Sport Utility Vehicle. Those who spend Dh.200 in the mall can enter the raffle draw to win GAC GS8 SUV worth Dh.96000 and other great prizes.
This weekend and throughout the DSS, a giant gumball machine will award great prizes to lucky visitors entering Nakheel Mall. A weekly Golden Gumball grand prize of Dh.25000 in the form of mall vouchers will be available for grabs every Tuesday during DSS.
From 16th to 18th July, the DSS shoppers can win international brand watches including Tissot, Rado, Calvin Klein and Longines with huge savings at the Rivoli stores in City Centre Deira, City Centre Mirdiff and Mall of Emirates.
By shopping at Majid Al Futtaim malls this weekend, one lucky shopper stands to win 1 million share points to use in MAF malls upon spending Dh.300 and will be announced on 18th July.
Shop and Save Lives
Visitors to Mercato Shopping Mall can support the fight against COVID-19 this DSS.
With the Shop and Save Lives offer at Mercato Mall for every Dh.100 spent at the mall, Dh.1 will be donated by the mall to the UAE campaign to combat the virus.
Fun activities
There are plenty of activities lined-up for families this weekend, such as learning to snowboard or ski during the weekend with Ski Dubai’s trained team of instructors, an extra-special 48-hour lesson that can turn novice skiers into masters of the mountain in two days.
At Dubai Kartdrome this weekend, the indoor racetrack is offering ‘buy two races, get the third race free’. Available throughout DSS the 15-minute go-kart duels are open to racers in the age group 13 to 59 years. The bookings can be done online in advance.
The DSS is open until 29th August.
