Expo 2020 Dubai has been closely monitoring the current developments and taking all necessary precautions to manage and mitigate the risk to all concerned.
According to the organizers of the Expo 2020 global trade fair, due to launch in Dubai in October this year, they plan to “reassess” and “adjust” preparations owing to the novel coronavirus outbreak.
Dubai has to its credit, the most diversified economy in the Gulf, and will be hosting the six-month long Expo, hoping to attract at least 25 million visitors.
As the preparations for the event continues, it will be reassessed and adjusted as required, based on circumstances, the organizers said in their statement.
Expo 2020 Dubai is also monitoring the ongoing developments and taking all necessary precautions to manage and mitigate the risk involved in the Expo. But the statement has not yet clarified the nature of changes.
Dubai is generally popular for hosting several hundreds of annual conferences every year, but, lately, the emirate has scrapped several cultural and entertainment events in recent weeks, but, has not announced any plans to postpone the much-anticipated Expo.
