The Emirates Airline has launched an integrated biometric pathway at the Dubai International airport. This new contactless passage experience is now open to all Emirates passengers travelling through and from Dubai.
With this biometric path, passengers can have a seamless journey from the check-in to the boarding gates, which also improves customer flow through the airport, thereby requiring less document checks and waiting in a queue.
This has been possible by adopting the latest biometric technology, a mix of facial and iris recognition. Now, passengers can check-in for their flight, complete their immigration formalities, enter the lounge and board flights by just walking through the airport.
The touchpoints installed in the biometric path enable hygienic contactless travel, and reduces human interaction, and lays emphasis on health and safety.
The Chief Operating Officer, Adel Al Redha, said “Now it is more vital than before to make use of technology and implement products, and introduce processes that focus not only on fast-tracking customers, but also focussed on health and safety during their travel journey. The contactless biometric path is the latest in a series of initiatives we have introduced to ensure that travelling on Emirates is a seamless journey.”
