As listed by the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD), 770 Mosques re-opened in Dubai today.
The list includes 770 Mosques in Deira and Bur Dubai. However, the Friday prayers will continue to remain suspended in the mosques until further notice.
The decision regarding the reopening of mosques comes with a list of eight guidelines to be followed by worshippers, including leaving an empty row between each other, and bringing their own prayer mats.
Mosques in Dubai had been closed as a precaution against spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
IACAD has requested residents to visit its website www.iacad.gov.ae., for details regarding names of the re-opened mosques in the announced list.
The next stage requires cooperation of all, and the instructions adopted by the authorities to contain the spread of the virus, should be adhered to, IACAD said.
According to IACAD, the reopening mosques include 19 mosques in Al Qusais, 24 in Al Rashidiya, 31 in Al Mizhar First and Second, 18 in Jumeirah II, and 27 in Al Warqa, apart from several others.
