According to a new visa policy announced by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, investors and specialists like doctors and engineers will receive UAE Residency Visas that hold 10-year validity.
Families of such category of expatriates will also receive visas with same validity, apart from top performing students who would also be eligible for the 10 year Residency Visa scheme.
HH Sheikh Mohammed conveyed to the social media that global investors can enjoy 100 percent ownership of their companies in the country. Such a system would grant investors and talents in specialized fields of medical, research, scientific and technical fields, apart from innovators, scientists and entrepreneurs, a 10 year visa. Students studying in the UAE will be granted a 5-year residency visa, while exceptional students would be granted 10-year visas.
HH Sheikh Mohammed has also directed the concerned bodies to implement the decisions by the end of the year. He has also directed to review the current residency visa scheme and extend the duration of validity of the visa of dependents once they complete their university studies to ease their future residence in the UAE.
HH Sheikh Mohammed, in his tweet, mentioned that UAE would offer an open environment, flexible legislations and tolerant values and constitute the best plan possible to draw in global investments and exceptional talents. The UAE will continue to be a land of opportunities.
The latest decision will be implemented by third quarter of the year.
