An original comedy play set in Dubai’s Jumeirah Lakes Tower (JLT) neighborhood called ‘Just Like That’ will be performed at The Junction, Alserkal avenue from April 18 to 20.
The production, inspired by Dubai’s multi-cultural environment, tells the story of six nationalities who live on the same floor of an apartment building.The lives a British businessman, an Emirati writer, a European entrepreneur, a South Indian security guard, a Lebanese air hostess and an ethnically ambiguous Investment Banker intersect on a shared floor of an apartment building in Jumeirah Lakes Towers. Weaving together each story to share the unity in diversity, Tall Tale Production’s show playfully celebrates the tolerance and togetherness that makes Dubai what it is.
What unfolds is a clash of cultures, perspectives, beliefs and way of life! JLT shows what they all face every day and tries to connect with each and every one who comes to watch the play. Audiences will have a chance to laugh, weep, be shocked, but otherwise enjoy the fantastic story of modern Dubai.
"Just Like that" returns to the stages of The Junction after a successful run last year. Starring local talents like Asad Raza Khan and Layla Kardan, this award-winning play is dedicated to Dubai and the Year of Tolerance.
