H72 Productions presents Tom Stoppard's award winning comedy, 'The Real Inspector Hound', at the Alserkal Avenue performance space, The Junction.
Tom Stoppard’s one-act satire on formulaic whodunnits is also an affectionate comedy about the also-rans and second-strings of theater (and perhaps of life). Two theater critics named Moon and Birdboot who are watching a ludicrous setup of a country house murder mystery; by chance, they become entangled in the action setting off a series of events that seem eerily similar to the play they're watching.
This fine piece of meta-theater is a parody of stereotypical parlor mystery plays, and of the pomposity of theater critics. Come watch the comedy unfold at The Junction and revel in the amusing antics of possibly, theater's most entertaining critics.
