Dubai-based Independent Theatre Company Orb Theatricals brings a psychological drama ‘Agnes’ to Dubai this September 29 - 30.
Based on the play Agnes of God by John Pielmeier, this is a psychological drama/mystery about Agnes, a young nun, who gives birth to a child in a convent and insists that the dead child was the result of an immaculate conception. A psychiatrist is appointed by the court to determine if the girl is having physiological issues or is pretending to save herself from being tried by the court. Is Angus an innocent, or is she a diabolic manipulator trying to wheel her way out of trouble? Catch this thought-provoking play at The Junction on 29th & 30th September at 7:30 pm.
Directed by Sabiha Majgaonkar, the play shows the doctor’s efforts in trying to get to the crux of the matter with Agnes and ensuing clash with Mother superior, Head Nun Miriam of the convent under whose care Agnes was at the time of the delivery. Tickets to the shows start at Dh100.
