The Zoo Story, a one-act play by American writer Edward Albee, will be performed on April 25-27 at The Yard, Alserkal Avenue.
The Zoo Story, which was written in 1958, is a conversation between two men in Central Park, New York that promises to leave you enlightened, yet replete with a meaning of your own. The play has been directed by Chandni Varma and the main roles are performed Assyl Yacine and Sanjeev Dixit.
The show explores what life is like if one man has everything on track with a great job, a wife, daughters and a home filled with animals, versus diving into the perspective of a man who lives with two empty photo frames, a few clothes, a safe filled with rocks, less than a shelf of books and countable belongings. These two men share their sides in this bemusing yet thought-provoking spectacle at The Yard in Alserkal Avenue.
This can be a perfect spiritual exercise!
