Indian Republic Day Kavi Sammelan & Mushaira 2016 the much-awaited poetry evening organised during Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) and features a host of prominent Hindi and Urdu poets. The Kavi Sammelan and Mushaira is a very popular and the most cherished tradition of the locals from the sub-continent which will undoubtedly add to the glitter of Indian Republic Day celebrations. This is the 14th successive year of this poetry reading event in Dubai, and has gained immense popularity here.
The event will feature the input of top literary personalities who will gather on one stage to delight fans with their verses – bringing poetic traditions in an interactive format. Popular names to look forward to include Dr Kaleem Qaisar, Waseem Barelvi, Ambareen Amber, Anamika Ambar, Jauhar Kanpuri, Anjum Rahbar, Shola Tandvi, Farooque Adil , Ashok Sundarani and Dr Nadeem Shaad. The event will be hosted by Mansoor Usmani.
The 20th edition of Dubai Shopping Festival is organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) and the 32-day festival will conclude on 1 February. The programme, as in the preceding years, is part of the calendar of events of Dubai Shopping Festival.
