Gear up for seven days of nail-biting action UAR tour cycling competition returns this February — which is the only World Tour race in the Middle East — commences on 20 February taking riders through five emirates and finishing on 26 February.
The 2022 edition promises to build upon its successful predecessor with a new route that covers a total of 1,081km, with a significant elevation gain of around 3,500m, mostly concentrated in Stages 4 and 7. Stage 6 will kick off at Expo 2020 Dubai and go around to the city.
The emirates of Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras al-Khaimah and Dubai will all be playing host to the 19 participating teams with the contest winding across each of them during different stages.
Apart from the arduous challenge, the race will also feature scenic routes showcasing the natural landscapes of the country.
