Widely reputed as one of the region’s premium sporting events, the Beach Polo Cup Dubai 2017 is returning on Thursday 14 and Friday 15 December so prepare to dig out your finest attire and take to the arena with Dubai’s most stylish socialites for a weekend of sport, live music, fire shows and more.

The Beach Polo Cup Dubai has become an internationally, celebrated social event highlighted in every major sporting and social calendar, following the success, this sporting event is now played in over 33 cities around the world. Beach Polo was played in Dubai for the first time ever in 2004 and this year’s Beach Polo Cup will be presented by Nissan and is set to attract again hundreds of international guests and celebrities to join thrilling matches at the uniquely, purpose built arena at Skydive Dubai, Dubai Marina.

The two-day event, which runs from December 14 to 15, was moved to December to take advantage of the UAE’s cooler months, replacing its usual April fixture. Residents will be joined by tourists and celebrities from around the world, as the eighth outing of the two-day event will be held in the spectacular Shams zone. The Beach Polo Cup Dubai 2017 is undergoing its largest reconfiguration since debuting in 2004, offering Dubai’s residents and visitors an exciting social weekend of sport, fashion, and entertainment.


World class polo players and their horses will compete for the trophy which promises fast and dynamic polo action in an exclusive and elegant setting. Under the Patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Sports Council, the Beach Polo Cup Dubai 2017 presented by Nissan has been a part of the prestigious sporting events calendar in the region for more than a decade.

Boasting a roster of regional and international polo gladiators, this year’s players hail from countries such as Argentina, Germany and the UK, with Emirati patrons Tariq and Rashed Albwardy – influential figures in the domestic and international polo scene – represent the UAE. Four teams will go head-to-head in a two-day battle for the much-coveted trophy, including Team Nissan LEAF, Team Royal Pearls, Team Hills and Team Art Marine.

For the very first time, the Beach Polo Cup Dubai has limited tickets available in the VIP Majlis Zone at AED700 per person, including event entry and high table seating with food buffets and selected beverages. This year’s event will also have greater capacity for spectators, with tickets in the ever-popular Shams Zone at AED60 per head, including entry to the event and free seating with F&B cash bars available.
