Pakistan vs Sri Lanka, 2nd Test

International cricket will commence again in the UAE from September end with Pakistan-Sri Lanka series set to be held in the three international venues. The series will comprise two Tests, five One-day Internationals and three Twenty20 matches.

The highlight of the tour will be a day-night Test match between the two countries at the Dubai International stadium from Oct 6- 10. This will be Pakistan’s second day-night Test match as they had played against the West Indies at the same venue last year. The match will be played with the pink ball. Sri Lanka will become the latest team to join the Day-Night Test bandwagon.The day-night Test between Pakistan and Sri Lanka will be the sixth overall and the second this year after England hosted West Indies at Edgbaston in August.

The Test match will start at 3pm before finishing under the lights late in the evening. Pakistan fans will get opportunity to witness their star performers to revive memories of that victory against India 'The Oval'. Ticket prices start from Dh20.

The Dubai International Stadium is lit by a special system of floodlights named 'Ring of Fire'. Unlike other stadiums in the world, this stadium has the lights fixed around the circumference of the round roof of the stadium, thereby minimizing the shadows of objects in the ground. It has 350 numbers of floodlights attached in series. t has a capacity of 25,000 spectators, but is expandable to 30,000 spectators. It is part of the new mixed-use sports city currently being constructed in Dubai, Dubai Sports City.
