Desert Road Runners, one of the oldest running races in Dubai, will be on their 10km race on 12th March 2016 at Dubai Autodrome.

The race organized by Dubai Desert Road Runners Club since 1991 will be a 10km race on an undulating Grand Prix Formula 1 track, followed by breakfast served to all participants. It is a running group operated and licensed by Hopatec Sports Services. Dubai Desert Road Runners are a family-oriented running group, which welcomes runners of any age or ability.
The club meets every Saturday evening at 6.30pm on the running track on the beach, located south of Jumeirah Beach Park for a 5km time trial. A nominal fee of Dh.5 is charged for adults, while juniors and students can participate for free. Interval training sessions are held at 6pm at Al Barsha Park, every Sunday and Tuesdays.
The Dubai Road Runners Club is a non-profit making club, entirely dependent on services of volunteers. All Dubai Road Runners events have categories for juniors, veterans and super veterans.
The registration for the event has been open from 15th August 2015 and will be open until 27th February 2016. The Desert Road Runners Club Members are granted 50 percent discount on registration fee, which is non-refundable.
The event includes a 2.5Km run and a 10Km run. The 2.5Km run will begin at 6.30am at the Dubai Autodrome and is open for the age group 5 to 17 years at a registration fee of Dh.105 per individual.
The 10Km race which is open to all in the age group 12 to 99 years, will begin around the same time at Dubai Autodrome, and has a registration fee of Dh.170 per individual.
Certificates and medals are awarded to the winners of the event. With the race just months away, all interested participants can begin warming up for the race.
