The three-day annual rugby event is expected to witness a fan gathering of more than 100,000, apart from 4000 players, making this year to be the biggest action-packed rugby festival to be ever held in Dubai.
The event will attract some of the best players in the world, as excitement for the Rio Olympic Games continue, with Sevens being contested for the very first time. A range of top-of-the-range international fifteen players is likely to participate in this year’s tournament, aimed to realise their Olympic dream soon.
The festival will include several new and exciting concepts at the festival to ensure the greatest three-day festival till date. The tournament will witness action on all eight pitches with a record-breaking participation of more than 250 teams. The first-ever invitation Netball Tournament will be launched with a staggering 32 teams competing for Netball Trophy and 750 players from all over the Gulf will be showing off their skills on Netball courts.
There will also be on-pitch entertainment for all who are in the party mood with music, competitions and top-class US-based cheerleaders. Sponsored by Hard Rock Café, the night will see music and entertainment from local and international bands to keep fans dancing into the evening. The tournament sponsors will offer a range of innovative activities for fans. Ranging from family fun to fancy dress, the Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens is among the biggest social events in the city.
The 2015 edition of Dubai Rugby Sevens is special, as it leads up to its first Olympic appearance in Rio next year.
Visitors to the event also have the option of reserving their seats. Reserved Seating, Premium Seating and Corporate Hospitality packages are also available through the official website.
General Admission is free on Thursday, the 3rd December. Dh.300 is charged on 3rd and 4th December for pre-purchase of tickets and Dh.500 is charged on 5th December for season tickets. On the spot purchase of tickets costs Dh.100 more than normal. Reserved online booking is open for 4th and 5th December 2015 at cost of Dh.700 per person. Visitors have the option to choose from reserved seating, premium seating, and corporate hospitality packages through the official website. Admission is free for children below 12 years of age.
