X3 Junior Triathlon 2019

We know what you’re thinking – a triathlon? For kids? They can’t do it, they’re too little, it’s too hard, they don’t know how to swim/run/bike etc.

Is your child full of energy and up for a challenge? That’s enough. The XDubai X3 Junior Triathlon is all about FUN and it is back for its third edition after the massive success of last two events.

Created for kids aged between 4 and 16 years, the whole point is to encourage your little people to have a go, regardless of how sporty they are. The race includes competitive swimming, cycling and running, in smaller distances to suit little ones. Designed specifically for kids aged 4-16, the competition consists of seven categories to make it suitable for the participating age groups.

They do not have to be fantastic swimmers/cyclists/runners to take part. If your little 4 year old is happier wading through the 25 meter bit of calm water than swimming in it then that’s just fine – and you can do it with him/her too! Same with the cycling, there’s no need for flamboyant bikes – whether they’re on balance bikes or they still have stabilizers attached, anything goes. Distances for swimming/cycling/running have all been adjusted according to age group. It’s all about realistic goals.

Imagine what it would feel like to cross the finish line. Most importantly, participants will have fun and enjoy rewards – there are prizes to be won for three girls and three boys in each category. In total, 42 winners will be crowned and every participant will get a medal at the finish line.

What’s more, there’s fun in store for the whole family at the big village festival which will host entertainment and activities.
