The world's largest girl gaming festival will be held in Dubai at Meydan One from December 12-14. The event will include a business conference and an awards ceremony alongside the main competition.

GIRLGAMER Esports Festival is taking its World Finals to Dubai on December 12-14th. The event will be held in Dubai for the next two years at least, is the culmination of a global year-long six-stage series, with the view to increase stages to nine events next year.
The event will be at an upcoming gaming facility in Meydan One, which is being dubbed the "largest gaming arena in the region".
Girl Gamer is the largest all-female gaming competition in the world and live streams of the event attract 20 million viewers globally. Nine teams comprising of five players each totaling 45 participants, who are the best from the series, will compete at the finals. Of those nine teams one will be local, in order to help promote local female gamers.The women will compete in two different games, CounterStrike Go and League of Legends.
Prize money has yet to be announced but officials say it is very likely to be largest prize fund ever for a women’s gaming tournament. Games played at the event will be League of Legends and CounterStrike Go.
The GirlGamer Esports festival was created with a view to giving girl gamers a safe environment to grow and showcase their skills as well as tackling the gender equality stigma that comes with gaming, with the competitive industry mostly made up of men.
GIRLGAMER Esports Festival is organised by Evoloop and presented by Grow uP eSports. It’s partnered with Critical Hit Entertainment, ROX Gaming, BBL e-SPORTS, and Movistar Riders to expand its reach internationally.
