One of the greatest artists of his generation in Egypt, Abdel Halim Hafez, will be taking to the stage at Dubai Opera for a musical extravaganza to overshadow all others.
On Eid Al-Fitr, a hologram of the late Egyptian singer Abdel Halim Hafez is set to perform a pair of shows at the Dubai Opera.
The digitised version of the singer, who died in 1977 at the age of 47, will perform many of his hits while backed by a live orchestra. The unique show aims to revive his work and preserve the Arab musical heritage.
Taking place on Thursday and Friday, May 13 and 14, this will mark the hologram's second round of shows after a sold-out debut concert at the Baron Empain Palace in Cairo, Egypt.
Ranked amongst the best Egyptian musicians of all time, Hafez’s romantic and patriotic songs, delivered with his sensual deep vocals, were defined by his subtlety.
Hafez sold over 80 million records around the world. He’s most famous for his romantic melodies such as Ahwak, Nebtedi Minen el Hekaya, and Mawood – and audiences can expect to hear all of his greatest hits in an unforgettable setting.
