AR Rahman Live in Dubai

A true musical legend, AR Rahman will return to Dubai for a show at the Coca-Cola Arena on November 15. The Grammy and Oscar-winning composer will be joined by a number of special guests at the performance.

Rahman is one of India’s greatest musicians who has written and composed for the Indian film industry’s most renowned film scores. Time Magazine has referred to him as the "Mozart of Madras" and several Tamil commentators have coined him the nickname Isai Puyal ( English: Music Storm).

Slumdog Millionaire, Lagaan, Jodhaa Akbar, Rang De Basanti and Enthiran- these are but a few of the critically acclaimed, multilingual soundtracks that Rahman has orchestrated. He is an undeniable force of nature with a collection of twenty five Filmfare Awards, four National Film Awards, a BAFTA Award, a Golden Globe, two Grammys and two Academy Awards.

Rahman, who celebrated 25 years in the music industry last year with a Dubai concert, recently cut back on taking up film projects as he was busy writing and producing his own movie called ‘99 Songs’, starring Manisha Koirala and Lisa Ray.

Rahman has also exclusively selected a few additional acts to entertain audiences on the night that includes singers Benny Dayal, Javed Ali, Swetha Mohan, Jonita Gandhi, Andrea Jeremiah, Ranjit Barot, Haricharan Sheshadri and Alphons Joseph.
