Sunheri Yaadein Live in Dubai

Sunheri Yaadein- a Hindi retro music show will be held in the JW Marriott Hotel in Deira on 29 March and Indian singers Surojit Guha as well as Sangeeta Melekar will take to the stage to perform hits from the past.

Singer Surojit Guha with his versatile vocal range couldn’t have pleased better his idols Hemant Kumar, Talat Mehmood and Manna Dey and their many aficionados. His mannerisms and expressions will remind one of Kishore Kumar during his live performances. Born in Kolkata, Surojit lives in Chennai, a natural singer, Surojit Guha has been giving public performances on radio, television and stage for over 4 decades. He is one of the most sought after exponents of the music of singer-composer Hemant Kumar, whose voice he bears a close resemblance with. He has performed with legendary singer Manna Dey, Arati Mukherjee, Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik and Amit Kumar. He has also performed for noted music composers Naushad Ali, Ravi, alongwith the Salil Chowdhury family.

Sangeeta Melekar is a playback singer. She has been performing on stage for the past 25 years and has performed worldwide including USA, Canada, Hong Kong and Indonesia to name a few. She has also performed for Carribean and Alaskan cruises of UAS cruise liners.

Joining the singers on the night will be the Dubai-based singers Somdatta Basu and Jayaprasad Ganapathy, and they’ll be accompanied by music from a live orchestra, led by Romeo Louis.

Every single person in the show will exhibit — Retro fixation. Symptoms of the condition: Unfading smiles, continuous humming, viewing the world through a filter of nostalgia and an urge to relive the past. Don’t miss out on an evening of songs from the golden age of Hindi music.
