February is set to be a huge month of music in Dubai, and it just got even bigger as American rapper Pitbull has been announced for a gig in Dubai this month.
The Timber hitmaker will perform at the opening ceremony of the 2019 edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) at 8pm on Thursday February 14 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
February will be a great month for music fans in Dubai. As if RedFestDXB and Emirates Airlines Dubai Jazz Festival weren’t exciting enough– Pitbull, the king of dance anthems, is joining the roll call of celebrities arriving in Dubai this February.
Pitbull began releasing music in the early 2000s, but it wasn’t until his fourth album was released in 2009 that he received international acclaim. Pitbull went on to work with stars including Kesha, Jennifer Lopez and Ne-Yo releasing smash hit singles such as Give Me Everything, On The Floor and I Know You Want Me.
But he won’t be the only one. The opening ceremony of the annual cricket tournament will see Boney M star Marcia Barrett, as well as Pakistan superstar Fawad Khan and Sufi-rock band Junoon also take to the stage to officially inaugurate the Pakistan Super League.
