Want to capture your glam squad but want to go easy on the mocktails? Change it up with Cuisinero Uno’s recently launched master class led by chef and founder John Buenaventura which is specially designed for groups. He’ll guide you with basic kitchen skills as well as in-depth knowledge of different marination techniques. The only tough part? Picking if it’s steak or paella you want to whip up. A catch-up with the girls and getting to hoover it all up at the end? Win-win.
This month, Cuisinero Uno, the casual dining restaurant with Spanish and Mediterranean influences is launching a culinary master class led by its head chef and founder, Chef John Buenaventura. The masterclass will provide participants with basic kitchen skills and in-depth knowledge of different marination techniques and cooking methods.
The hands on masterclass will see Chef John guide students through the step-by-step process of preparing a dish. The classes are divided into standard cooking, and customised classes. The standard cooking class changes every month and for August, Cuisinero Uno will be offering a masterclass on steaks or paella. The customised classes are for groups who have specific dishes they would like to learn. Foodies will have the choice of picking a standard cooking session for Dhs350, or a customised class for Dhs400, for those looking to learn more about a specific dish they want to try.
Ingredients and tools for the masterclass will be provided by the restaurant, in addition to a short slideshow presentation. Soft beverages will also be served during the masterclass. After going through all the effort of making the dish, you’ll be able to taste the fruits (or meats) of your labour by having your food after the lesson.
Each masterclass will run daily from 11am until 2pm, with six participants per session. As for the customised classes, groups will have to book three days in advance. Dishes made at the standard classes will change on a monthly basis, so be sure to check back.
While you’re there, you may as well try out the Emirati, Mediterranean and Asian-inspired tapas dishes Cuisinero Uno has.
