The competition is an annual event at the award-winning restaurant in London, and this is the first time it’ll be held outside of the UK.

Galvin Dubai in City Walk will be holding its first Apple Tarte Tatin Challenge at this year’s Dubai Food Festival. An annually celebrated occasion in London, the Apple Tarte Tatin Challenge has gained a large following over the last decade.
On 26 February, baking enthusiasts will be able to watch Galvin Dubai’s Executive Chef, Luigi Vespero, baking Galvin’s signature dish at the Beach Canteen. A social media competition is being launched where amateur cooks will re-create their own tart according to the Galvin recipe and post the final product on their social media pages using the tag #GalvinDubaiAppleTatin. Vespero, pastry chef Ryan Harris and the Galvin brothers will shortlist ten finalists, who will be invited to join the team at Galvin Dubai. The winner will be crowned the Galvin Tarte Tatin 2018 Champion and rewarded with a prize.
