Urban Outdoor Cinema returns to Dubai Marina

After a summer spent checking out some of Dubai’s best indoor cinema experiences, we’re excited to be heading outdoors to catch a film this winter. And we don’t have long to wait, as the Urban Outdoor Cinema has announced its returning to the Habtoor Grand in Dubai Marina this month.

Kicking off on Saturday October 20, the fully-licensed Urban Outdoor Cinema returns to the gardens of Habtoor Grand Resort, Autography Collection in Dubai Marina, which means movie fans can sit back and watch their favourite blockbuster classics in the cool outdoors. Urban Outdoor Cinema is a series by the UAE’s premier provider of outdoor cinemas, Urban Entertainment. They pride themselves on their ability to make every movie night with them spectacular. Think; unparalleled views of JBR paired with the luxury of having your food and drinks served straight to your seat.

From Saturday October 20, Urban Entertainment will be putting on three films a week at their cosy outdoor cinema on the lawn of the Habtoor Grand, running every Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

So what’s on the schedule?

First up is Hugh Jackman singing his heart out in The Greatest Showman on Saturday October 20, followed by Tom Cruise delving into “The Danger Zone” in Top Gun on Sunday October 21, and the incredibly charming Notting Hill on Monday October 22.

It’s the following week where things get a tad spooky, as the event will be putting on a series of horror flicks to celebrate Halloween. The following weekend, the outdoor cinema will show three consecutive days of Halloween specials; A Quiet Place will kick things off on Saturday October 27, Shaun of the Dead follows on Sunday, and The Lost Boys conclude the Halloween trilogy.

Although the films start at 7.30pm, doors open from 6.30pm, and you’re advised to head down early to bag the best seat.

Tickets are priced at Dhs75 for the film, but there’s also waiter service on hand where you can order a selection of all the usual cinema snacks as well as pizzas and tapas. Drinks on offer include soft drinks as well as wines and beers.
