Insomnia Gaming Festival 2019

Dubai’s gaming scene is about to go up another level – as the longest running UK eSports and gaming festival is making its way to the city in 2019, bringing three days of an all-out gaming extravaganza.

Taking place in the Meydan Grandstand Conference Hall, the huge Insomnia Gaming Festival bringing its line-up of world-class games, cutting edge virtual reality, eSports, retro gaming, VR gaming section, an indie zone and Insomnia’s crazy “Cosplay Masquerade”.

Dive right into the action in Virtual Reality (VR) experiences or Play retro games like Mario and The Legend of Zelda. Gamers can look forward to a range of tournaments where they can win cash prizes or exclusive merchandise. Smaller tournaments where exclusive merch can be won will see top players battle it out in League of Legends, Overwatch, Fortnite, Tekken and more.

It’s the perfect place to dress up as your favourite gaming character, and if you do it well enough, you may win big at the festivals masquerade competition. The event will also have a BYOC (bring your own computer) section, so gamers can have a massive LAN party. For those not in the know, it’s basically a party where link up their computers and play games together. It’s a whole lot of fun.

What else to expect? There will be also an expo where fans can pick up gaming merchandise and meet gaming influencers and publishers showcasing their latest releases and also pose with ‘special guests’ for selfies. There will be drone racing competitions and live DJ sets.

The Skate Squad, a talented group of ice-skaters,roller-skaters and extreme stunt-bladers, are joining the entertainment line-up along with The S3 Freestyle Team, which stars top street players from Paris.
