Dubai’s adrenaline-junkies and thrill-seekers will be flocking to Riverland Dubai as ‘Xtreme Acts on the River’ returns for the second year. The event is back and bigger than ever, with a line-up of incredible stunts including parkour experts, flyboarders and BMX pros. Riverland Dubai has rightfully earned its reputation as a must-go destination for different demographics - from sport daredevils to casual strollers. So while more "relaxed" audiences take a leisurely walk along the river and breathe in the air within the Dubai Parks & Resorts confinements, rest assured their daring counterparts are in for a treat.

Following last year’s huge success, “Xtreme Acts on the River” is returning bigger for 2018, with an extensive programme of adventure activities, amazing spectacles performed by exhilarating pogo stick jumpers, scooter riders, high-speed inline skaters, and 'bag-drops' onto inflatable landing areas from platforms up to 20 metres high, all performing to the sound of music played by DJs, which will engage guests of all ages.

“Xtreme Acts on the River” will bring together some of the finest athletes in the world to perform their award-winning routines. Some of the great names making an appearance at this year’s events include; Mansour Al Safran, is an award-winning BMX athlete who has competed in various events across the GCC; Petr Kraus who is one of the legends in trial biking on an international level and Hashem Saleh, a young and upcoming traceur and Free-runner.

The diverse groups of athletes are drawn from the most renowned extreme athletes in the world, many of whom have won international competitions in their home countries such as Ukraine, Great Britain, Russia and Jordan. The parkour runners were the crowd favourites on last year events - as they flipped and spun over and above obstacles to the loud cheer of spectators.

Spanning four days, attendees can witness skateboarding, wakeboarding and parkour specialists take breaths away in Riverland Dubai's Xtreme Acts on the River. Watch international BMX scooter and trials bike riders unleash a repertoire of skills, wowing onlookers by the mega ramp floating on the river. Stay tuned for experts showing off their X-POGO acts on the riviera plaza, and see equally impressive wall-climbing and zip-lining performances.

If spectators are feeling brave, or perhaps sick of remaining passive, they can take matters into their own hands attempt the bungee trampoline or free-fall from a 25m high free drop tower. No, know how? Professionals at the Free Drop Show will show visitors how it's done three times a day.

If extreme sports aren’t your thing, Riverland will be hosting other events this year, including Fairy Tales on the River (March 2-4), music festival Rhythm on the River (April 6-8), Circus on the River (October 12-14), and animal welfare festival Pets on the River (November 16-18).
