​Nowruz Celebration at City Walk

Persian-speaking expats of Dubai celebrate the beginning of the Persian New Year, Nowruz, on 22nd March. Fellow Azerbaijanis and Persian community can attend a free, open-air concert at none other than Dubai's trending lifestyle and dining destination, City Walk, on 22 March.

Nowruz, which literary means new day, has been celebrated for some 3,000 years, mainly in Iran, Uzbeks, Afghanistan and other countries influenced by ancient Persia. Nowruz falls on March 22 this year, when night and day become equal in length, heralding Spring.

Famous Azerbaijani artists and a national band will perform classic songs loved by all generations. It will be a chirpy and cheerful showcase of the country's heritage and customs, celebrating a rich culture in a lively environment that welcomes people of all backgrounds and ages.
